So tomorrow’s the big day, after tons of ups and downs and over a year since the game’s release, Skyrim’s Dragonborn DLC finally hits PSN tomorrow. To make sure you are prepared, you can go ahead and download the latest update for the game, version 1.8. The update does some optimizing in preparation for the DLC, but it also brings a long a few bug fixes, including a game crashing bug when using the “vampiric grip” ability as well as situations where duplicate NPCs would show up in the game world. For a full list of fixes, check out the post on the official blog.
Tomorrow is the start of a three-week release schedule that will see tons of Skyrim content released, Dragonborn tomorrow, Hearthfire on the 19th and then Dawnguard on the 26th. That’s more expansions than any of us know what to do with. Those three expansions will add dozens of additional hours of gameplay and with them stacked on top of each other like that, you’ll be busy for a long while to come.
As a side benefit to make up for the DLC taking so long to hit PS3, each of the DLC’s will be half off in the week they are released, so if you plan to grab them, make sure you do that in the first week so you don’t have to pay full price.
