PlayStation 3 Skyrim DLC inbound!

While Skyrim’s many expansion packs will understandably be seen as old content to many Xbox 360 users, gamers on the PlayStation 3 and PC have been left in the dark, with developer Bethesda having trouble getting DLC out to the platforms.

Thankfully they resolved the issues and have solid US release dates for all three expansions on the PlayStation 3, even if it comes a considerable time after the game’s release.

To soften the heartbreak of waiting so long for the release of expansions Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn, Bethesda has announced that all three add-ons will be 50% off during their first week of release, so get it while it’s hot!

US gamers on the PlayStation 3 can expect a 1.8 title update very soon, while European gamers still have to wait for the update to be certified by Sony, so hold your hats! You can check out the release dates below.

  • Dragonborn releases Tuesday, February, 12
  • Hearthfire releases Tuesday, February, 19
  • Dawnguard releases Tuesday, February, 26

Are you finally looking forward to getting your hands on Skyrim’s popular add-ons? Let us know in the comment section below and check out our Facebook page for more of today’s gaming news.

When not fighting crime, I dabble in the art of online journalism. Alright, maybe it's not as exciting as headbutting everyday felons like a modern Bruce Wayne, but I need something that doesn't involve bludgeoning something. Get my kicks playing on a fat 80gb PS3, really need an upgrade......and a shave.
