[UPDATE] First Black Ops 2 Double Weapon XP Weekend Confirmed

Update: Treyarch has confirmed that the Double Weapon XP weekend will apply across all weapons on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

2x Weapon XP planned for Friday, Feb 1/10amPST – Monday, Feb 4/10amPST on all weapons for Xbox360, PS3 and PC.

So the Black Ops 2 ‘Revolution’ DLC pack is out on Xbox 360 and Treyarch has updated the message of the day on that system to reveal what many will see as a welcome surprise.

4 multiplayer maps, 1 zombies map and a brand new gun all included.

“Starting on Friday, Feb 1st (10 am/PST) and going through Monday, Feb 4th (10 am/PST) you will earn Double Weapon XP on all weapons. Double XP allows to level up and unlock attachments at twice the usual rate”

As of right now, the message has only appeared on Xbox 360 and even if PS3 and PC owners don’t get in on this round its safe to assume they can expect the same treatment once Revolution hits those platforms in about a month.
