It’s that time again folks, EA Sports has announced the cover vote for NCAA Football 14, even though they curiously didn’t exactly call it that. Between now and December 31st, fans of all 126 FBS schools will have the opportunity to demonstrate why their team deserves the coveted cover. Polls are now open on the official EA SPORTS NCAA Football Facebook page, as the field of 126 is narrowed to 32. They broke it down alphabetically so if you want to vote for teams between Air Force and Missouri click the first link and if you want to vote for teams between Navy and Wyoming, click the second link.
But voting isn’t the only way to show your fanhood and levy a vote for your team, coming up with creative ways to represent your team will work too. Impassioned tweets using the hashtag #NCAACoverVote, Instagram photos of campus landmarks, YouTube videos of university traditions and more will all count toward a school’s chances to advance to the next round. In short, fans are encouraged to go all in and represent the team they root for every Saturday. While I like the idea of giving people multiple ways to participate, things like Tweets, Instagram shares, and YouTube videos are not easy to quantify and that may cause some confusion later in the voting rounds, but I guess we’ll have to wait and see on that one.
To top it off, all next week EA SPORTS will be featuring specific conferences, teams, traditions and more on Facebook and Twitter in an effort to engage fans and kick-start voting so be on the lookout for that. What are you waiting for, get out there and vote, but feel free to hit up our comment section and share who you are voting for. And for those of you that are ultra observant you will notice that there are a few schools that are out-of-place on the map, personally I don’t look at stuff like this that hard but apparently some people do. As for me, its gotta be my home state Georgia Bulldogs!!
