The Vita is swiftly becoming the choice for fighting game fans on the move. The system hasn’t even been out for a year yet, however top-notch brawlers are everywhere, from Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 through to Mortal Kombat. Next year another great fighting game will be added to the roster as well, with the jiggle-tastic Dead of Alive 5 being confirmed as heading to the portable powerhouse.
The announcement came during the IPL video game tournament, when a video featuring Team Ninja’s Yosuke Hayashi was shown to attendees. The IPL will next year host the official DOA5 tournament, which led to the tie-in. Hayashi commented that “we will always back our DOA players and would also like to expand the entertainment of DOA5 furthermore,” he went on to comment that Team Ninja “plan to release Dead or Alive 5 Plus on the PlayStation Vita at an early stage of next year.” Players “can now practice and brush up their skills anywhere they want.”
As the game has been dubbed ‘Dead or Alive 5 Plus’ you can no doubt expect some additional extras above and beyond the console version when it launches. Some included DLC and more handheld-friendly game modes would be a good start. What do you guys think? Does this news tempt anyone sitting on the fence into getting the Vita?
