Having the iPhone 5 launch in China will be a huge momentum swing for Apple in terms of market share worldwide. Fortunately, if reports from the Wall Street Journal are accurate “an Apple device resembling the iPhone 5 has received approval for a “network access” license in China.”
If true, this means Apple will begin selling the iPhone 5 in the next few weeks. The WSJ notes that “Vendors in China often start selling new handsets within weeks of approval by China’s Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center.”
No official word has been given from Apple, but this appears to be in the bag for Apple. For more information on this, visit the Wall Street Journal.
