Bioshock: Infinite is one of 2013’s most anticipated games and now one major controversy surrounding the game has finally been settled. Kevin Levine of Irrational Games has put all the controversy to rest via a Twitter update where he definitively confirms that Bishock: Infinite will not have multiplayer.
The game was originally planned for release in October of this year but was later pushed back to February 26, 2013. At the time they said they needed more time to polish the game but many had hoped that the real reason they were pushing it back was to add multiplayer similar to what was found in Bioshock 2.
Depending on where you stand on this, it could either be good news or bad news. Personally, I really admire when developers don’t just add multiplayer because they think that is what everyone expects. I have nothing against a good multiplayer, but I think it should only be included if it ADDS value. If it doesn’t and can’t be done to a high level then they should just leave it out.
But that’s mean, what do you all think? Is the lack of multiplayer in Bioshock: Infinite a good thing or bad thing? Hit up the comments and let us know.
