It has only been a week since Call of Duty: Black Ops II was released from its chains and started hitting shelves all around the world. Any information regarding the next Call of Duty shouldn’t be making its rounds until sometime next year one would think, but according to a recent job listing on Gamasutra, this isn’t the case.
The guys over at NowGamer picked up on the listing, with Modern Warfare 3 developers ‘Sledgehammer Games’ seeking a Senior Environment Artist to join their team and work on the next Call of Duty title on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
The listing read, “We are actively recruiting top talent for our Call of Duty development team. If you are passionate and driven to do your best work, and have a desire to work on the most successful FPS franchise in the history of video games, please apply online.”
Some of the duties and responsibilities the applicant will undertake are, “creating single player and multi-player levels under the direction of the art director and the creative director” and must have “a minimum of 5 years full-cycle console game experience in modeling, texturing, and shading environment assets.”
Rumors surfaced this month hinting that Modern Warfare 4 was already in production, but was quickly squashed by developers Infinity Ward.
