Over the last few weeks we have been bringing you plenty of details around the forthcoming Wii U and its functionality. Being the first HD console and also arguably the first system from Nintendo to really embrace online, there are plenty of new features and ideas to embrace, not least of which is Miiverse.
Miiverse is Nintendo’s version of Xbox Live and PSN, only with a greater emphasis on social integration. Eventually the service will allow users to video chat right from the Wii U controller itself and compare hints and tips for games with like-minded gamers. All this is a way off at the moment, but Nintendo has released a new detailed video which brings a lot of information on both the services available at launch and those coming 12 months or so down the line. For example, Nintendo is promising that fairly soon you will be able to access the eShop for the Wii U through your 3DS, PC or even mobile device.
Check out the video below and let us know which aspects of the Wii U release have got you excited for the future. Or do you think the Big N is still stuck playing catch-up? Let us know your thoughts.
