For anyone who picked up action-adventure Dishonored this October, they were no doubt happy with what they got and unfortunately saddened when they eventually completed it. Developer Bethesda has come to the rescue however, announcing the first add-on to land for the game titled ‘Dunwall City Trials’, expected to hit platforms in December this year. Not only that, we can also expect two story-driven campaign add-ons to be pushed out sometime next year.
Dunwall City Trials will include 10 challenge maps presenting new and unique trials and will cost gamers $4.99. These challenge maps consist of fighting hordes of AI in a battle arena match, getting from start to finish in timed challenges, and a nifty assassination rush mode. You can also look forward to extra trophies and achievements and the inclusion of a global leaderboard, to set the men from the boys.
The second and third add-ons will be hitting sometime in 2013 and will be story-driven, continuing the untold madness. Bethesda has released a brief description of the second add-on, which read,
“Daud, the leader of a group of supernatural assassins known as ‘The Whalers’, will be the focus of the second add-on pack, scheduled for release in early Spring 2013,” according to the post. “Make your way through new Dunwall locales and discover Daud’s own set of weapons, powers and gadgets in this story-driven campaign. How you play and the choices you make will impact the final outcome …“
Bethesda has promised more details on the third add-on as we get closer to its release. I guess we will just have to wait and see what comes our way.
