Today Google announced their latest Samsung Chromebook, which is also being dubbed the Chromebook for everyone. The all new Chromebook will feature an 11.6-inch display, 6.5 hours of battery life, 16GB of internal storage, 100GB of free cloud storage from Google Drive, 2GB of RAM, an SD card slot, a USB 2.0 port, a USB 3.0 port, an HDMI port, and a VGA webcam. Additionally, the nifty little device will only weigh 2.5 pounds, and measure in at 0.8” thick. Most importantly however, is the price you’ll pay for this, and that just happens to only be $249.

Sundar Pichai, Google’s Senior Vice President of Chrome & Apps, states “A few years ago, we set out on a journey to build a better computer that’s faster, simpler and more secure. When we introduced a few Chromebooks into the market, many of you early adopters joined us on this journey. For folks living entirely in the cloud, the Chromebook is now a primary computer.”

Pre-ordering starts today and can be done “online from Amazon, Best Buy, PC World and other retailers.” For more information, check out the source link below, as well as the video. Be sure to let us know what you think about the device and if you will pick one up.
