With most of the chatter around Skyrim’s downloadable content focused on PlayStation 3 users not receiving any at all, you would forget that gamers on other platforms are already indulging in what developer Bethesda has pushed out. Well it looks like another expansion is in the pipeline, this according to the many Skyrim PC players who rummaged through files of a recent update, finding references to “DLC2” and “Dragonborn”.
The post on the Bethesda forums also hinted that the expansion might bring mounted dragon combat into the fray and according to OXM, a return to Solstheim, which was the setting for The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind’s Bloodmoon expansion.
For those who do not know where Solstheim is situated, it’s a northern island that sits between Morrowind and Skyrim, which can be seen in low resolution if you can get to a certain area within the Skyrim map.
Bethesda made sure the Dragonborn name has been trademarked for downloadable games software earlier in 2012, so there is a chance this could all be legit. This however might come as sour news for PlayStation 3 gamers still waiting to get their hands on either Dawnguard or Hearthfire, as Bethesda is still not sharing any new information on that situation.
