Not long ago we brought you news of Sony’s plans to give the PlayStation Store a new look, after years of using the same plain layout. With so much traffic coming through the store, Sony is looking to get the new look out soon, especially as we come ever closer to the holiday season, where most of the spoils are to be made.
It’s not just the visual aspects of the PlayStation Store that are getting refurbished however, Sony also plans to add plenty of new features alongside, with the company stating that the new design was influenced by consumer feedback.
The main page will see a carousel set-up, smart searching and content filtering, making searching for items a lot easier than before. The main section will also show all the top movies and games available on the service at that time.
All these features along with a darker palette really makes the store more modern than before, something fans will really appreciate. As for when the new look PlayStation Store will launch, we can expect it to release in PAL regions on October 17, with a U.S launch planned for October 23.
