DLC which is already on the game disk that you purchase in-store has become several gamers pet peeve lately, with many companies charging to unlock content they have technically already sold you. Capcom has perhaps been more guilty of this that any other publisher, so it is refreshing that the paid for Resident Evil 6 DLC has been confirmed as being 100% downloadable.
The information released on the Capcom blog mentioned that there indeed is some DLC content included on the disk itself, but this is for the free DLC which is due soon, being a harder difficulty mode (called ‘No Hope’!) and the addition of co-op for Ada’s story. The paid for DLC which will presumably be a new set of missions for the game will be downloadable in its entirety and is not included on the disk in any form. Have Capcom learned their lesson?
