Gamers only have to wait until the end of this month to finally get their hands on Assassin’s Creed III, giving fans of the series a brand new gaming experience in a whole different era of history, but also putting you in control of a brand new character, Connor. Not much information has been released by Ubisoft on the protagonist until now, with the developer releasing a trailer telling Connor’s story and why he decided to don the hood and become an assassin fighting the evil Templars.
The trailer kicks off with a young Connor talking about the freedom of youth, that’s until it’s taken away from him when his village is burned to the ground. In a fit of anger and thirst for revenge, Connor seeks the help of an unknown man to teach him the ways of the assassin and thus begins his journey for redemption.
The trailer also shows off some nice set-pieces, with collapsing buildings, epic sea battles and fluent hand-to-hand combat all included. Enough talk from me, you can check out the trailer for yourself below.
Assassin’s Creed III will release on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on October 3oth, with PC users having to wait until November 23. The Wii U will also get in on the action, with the title launching alongside the console.
