PlayStation 3 users already got the short end of the stick when they heard Skyrim expansion ‘Dawnguard’ was delayed after it already released on the Xbox 360 and PC. Even worse, shortly after that news hit, gamers heard that the expansion might not even make its way to the console at all, leaving a bad taste in the mouths of PlayStation 3 gamers everywhere. Well now it could turn into a full force riot after Bethesda’s Pete Hines clarified the problem affecting Dawnguard is affecting all the DLC planned to release with Skyrim.
Hines took to his Twitter account to reveal the harrowing news that might mean no DLC future for Skyrim on the PlayStation 3.
“This is not a “Dawnguard” issue. This is a DLC on PS3 issue. It affected DG because it was the first one.”
Hines also acknowledged the frustration PlayStation fans were feeling and assured them they are still working on getting DLC out, but still could not give a release date.
“Dawnguard is obviously not the only DLC we’ve been working on either, so the issues of adding content get even more complicated, said Hines.
Even if Dawnguard and the future DLC does manage to free itself of the technical problems its facing, has the damage been done? Has Bethesda lost the faith from its millions of PlayStation fans? Only time will tell if that ship has sailed.
