People who enjoy what the smart folks at Sony offers have many avenues of entertainment to enjoy, especially from the PlayStation brand. If you love the aspects of full-on gaming then the PlayStation 3 is up your alley, for gaming on the move the PlayStation Vita, wherever you are Sony has you covered. One thing that we as gamers haven’t seen however is a combo bundle of the hardware kind, one with the PlayStation 3 and Vita rolling out together, one that PlayStation UK boss Fergal Gara says is “not out of the question.”
While speaking to the cats over at CVG recently, Gara said that the crossover features the two bolster give more than a good reason to bundle them both together for a Christmas release.
“We’d have nothing against that whatsoever,”said Gara, “And it’s not out of the question that we would do that this Christmas if we wanted to. ”
“We put together packages for retail, and there’s no reason why we shouldn’t create a ‘Vita plus PS3’ bundle, which could feature games that use cross-play, as well as include a PlayStation Plus subscription that both devices could use.”
Gara also talked about the possible combo bundle doing great things for the relationship between the console and handheld, “There is really a story there of the two consoles building a partnership. ‘Better together’, as I say. If we want to continue to promote the partnership between PS3 and Vita, we have to look at ways in which we can show that.”
The future is bright and this would be one hell of a Christmas present and why not, all you got to do is put the two into a box and close it, sounds simple if you ask me – price however would probably be out of this world.
