If you are an RPG fan, then you probably have already played The Witcher 2, or maybe not if you do most of your gaming on a PlayStation 3, as criminally the game has yet to be confirmed for that platform. Essentially a detailed hack and slash RPG set in a gritty fantasy world, the sequel to a somewhat less polished original game has taken the PC and XBOX worlds by storm in the last couple of years.
Created by Polish developers CD Projekt RED, their next game has already been confirmed to be based around a futuristic world inspired by and drawn from the universe shown in pen and paper RPG Cyberpunk. We wont have long to wait to find out more details on that game however, as the company have announced a live webcast on October 18th when they will share more information on their upcoming title.
We should at least find out the name of the game, along with some new details including platform of choice (expect PC first, with hopefully 360 and PS3 versions to follow) and – fingers crossed – some screenshots or early videos. You can follow the information from the Witcher Facebook page, or check back to your favourite gaming site (that’s US in case you had forgotten!) for all of the news following the event.
