Today Sprint announced the availability of their 4G LTE network in several more cities. Customers in “Lawrence, Kan.; Topeka, Kan.; Wichita, Kan.; Waukegan-Lake County, Ill.; and Barnstable-Hyannis/Mid-Cape, Mass” can now enjoy blazing new speeds. Bob Azzi, Sprint’s Network senior vice president states that “In addition to the 19 cities we have already launched, we recently announced that Sprint 4G LTE will be available in more than 100 cities in the coming months. Today’s news moves us even further toward achieving that goal. We strive to deliver a top-notch network experience combined with winning devices and unlimited nationwide data plans – all of which are designed to support the ways our customers use their mobile devices today and tomorrow.”
Maybe we should give some kudos to Sprint for staying the course on their 4G LTE expansion and rollout. Adding in the cities today brings their city count to 24 with 4G LTE. It’s only been a few months (July 2012) since they launched 4G LTE. If their plans for nation-wide coverage are completed by the end of 2013, and they keep their truly unlimited option for 4G LTE, Verizon Wireless & AT&T may have something to worry about. Don’t you think so?
