Ninja Gaiden Sigma was one of the less hyped launch titles for the Vita with many stores not selling the retail copy and a low-key PSN release. Many gamers still decided to take the plunge and experience a few handheld hours with Ryu Hyabusa and many came away impressed but stunned by the games fairly intense difficulty level. If you are the kind of masochist who is hungry for more however, then the news that a version of Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 is also heading to the Sony handheld should be music to your ears.
During their Tokyo Game Show press conference, Team Ninja announced that the game which was first released on 360 and PS3 back in 2009 will make a triumphant return on the Vita screen, although no further details save an early 2013 release date were mentioned.
In an interesting side note, they also announced another handheld Ninja Gaiden title – Ninja Gaiden Clans, which will be released for iOS and Android presumably. As a touch screen-based action title it sounds like it could be reminiscent of the excellent Ninja Gaiden DS game released a few years back.
