Publisher Electronic Arts has revealed that upcoming title FIFA 13 has made quite an impact with football fans in the past few weeks, with the demo version of the game downloaded 2 million times in just three days and pre-orders topping 875,000 units with two weeks still until launch. With last year’s FIFA 12 selling around 12 million copies you can expect the soon to be released title to smash that figure.
The demo was downloaded by 1.99 million players in 73 different countries, which allows you to play as AC Milan, Arsenal, Dortmund, Juventus and Manchester City, with a 29% increase from last year’s FIFA 12 numbers.
Pre-orders for the game have held strong also, with figures hitting a 37 percent increase year over year in Europe and a 62 percent increase year over year in North America.
FIFA 13 will release on The Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on September 25th in North America, while gamers in Europe will get it on September 28th. FIFA 13 will also land for the Wii U on November 18th in North America and November 30th in Europe.
