Gaming maestro Hideo Kojima is looking to expand his development company Kojima Productions to the lands of the west, with America as the destination. According to a job listing on gaming site Gamasutra, Kojima productions will open a new branch in the Los Angeles area and are currently looking for a Gameplay Programmer to start work with them.
The job listing read, “Kojima Productions, the world-famous game studio within the Konami group, who recently celebrated its 25th anniversary of Metal Gear Solid franchise, is now looking to expand its team. Kojima Productions are looking for skillful creators, senior programmers, artists and game developers with a passion for making amazing video games.”
What will be on everyone’s mind is what the studio will be working on, with Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes the focus of Kojima’s team back in Japan, the Los Angeles studio could start early development of Metal Gear Solid 5, with Ground Zeroes announced a s a prequel to the game. They could also work on Zone of the Enders 3, which Kojima has promised to his fans in the past.
