One of the most eagerly anticipated of the Wii U games heading for the launch window (until we find out otherwise during Ninendo’s conference tomorrow of course) is New Super Mario Bros U. After the slightly disappointing and formulaic 3DS game, it is hoped that for their first Mario game for a new console Nintendo will pull out all of the stops. Until we find that out however, new details continue to emerge for the game, including an insight into how many worlds we can expect to see.
Game Informer magazine is reporting that there will be a total of seven worlds in the game and they have listed them as; Acorn Plains, Sparkling Waters, Frosted Glacier, Layer Cake Desert and lastly three areas with unknown names, based on the previous Forest of Illusion, Sky World and a set of levels surrounded by a tornado.
Apparently there will also be a new mode in the game called the Boost Rush, which incorporates forced scrolling into any level in the game and should make for an interesting challenge. Expect to see more details soon, as after tomorrow the lid will very much come off of Nintendo’s plans.
