The world was blown away last month when Hideo Kojima took to the stage during the Metal Gear Solid 25th Anniversary celebrations, bringing to everyone’s attention Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes, showing off the new impressive Fox Engine. The game will serve as a prologue to Metal Gear Solid 5 and will feature the legendary Big Boss as the game’s protagonist. Creator Hideo Kojima has told Eurogamer recently that Ground Zeroes will feature a day and night cycle that can change the way we play the game and offer up replayability down the line.
So how exactly does the Day and night cycle change gameplay? Depending on what time of the day it is, enemy troops will take different patrol routes and environmental changes will also take effect. You can see Kojima wants to give gamers the most realistic experience possible, fully utilizing the amazing Fox Engine the game bolsters, which we saw in full force during the demo. To really bring to light the power of the new engine, we have some awesome high-res screenshots from Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes released by Konami that you can gander at, you can check them out below.
