505 Games and Rebellion have announced that Sniper Elite V2, the World War II ‘tactical shooter’, will be getting full multiplayer support to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game. The add-on is set to be released sometime this fall and there is an added bonus that the extra content will be free of charge to everyone. What exactly are you getting though? Read on and you shall find out.

The DLC will consist of up to eight players sniping each other in four multiplayer modes which are: “Team Deathmatch,” “Deathmatch,” “Team Distance King” and “Distance King”. Ian Howe, president, 505 Games North America commented, “There has been tremendous support for Sniper Elite V2. As a thank you for that support, we’re very pleased to offer a full multiplayer feature set, free of charge, to all Sniper Elite V2 console fans.”

That news should keep both Sniper Elite V2 fans very happy as free DLC (that is actually worth playing) is very rare. Lets just hope that more companies follow the example set by 505 Games and Rebellion.

I'm a big gaming fan who has been playing games since ever since Pokemon Yellow was released in the year 2000. I'm just glad that there are decent rugby games on the PS3 now after years of nothing. I need another Uncharted game...NOW!!!!!
