If you’re wondering how the DLC for upcoming Borderlands 2 will roll out, wonder no more my fellow gamers. 2K Games have announced a $30 Season Pass available when the game launches next month, giving you four pieces of content worth $40 altogether if bought separately. The content will release in the form of add-on campaigns that will add hours of gameplay, with new adventures, allies, enemies and environments all included.
Previous installment ‘Borderlands’ saw a generous amount of DLC come its way after launch, leading to a Game of the Year Edition with all the DLC packed in, thus attracting even more fans well after the game’s release. The sheer amount of content released after launch wasn’t a ploy to make up for shoddy gameplay, Borderlands was a solid game, mixing great FPS mechanics with enjoyable RPG elements – something developer Gearbox Software look to do once again from launch and with what content comes after.
A Game of the Year Edition for Borderlands 2 will certainly be on the cards somewhere down the line, it’s really down to you if you’re willing to wait that long to pick the it up, which I doubt. If you’re thinking about picking up the DLC separately, then it will cost you $10 a pop, with all pieces of content scheduled to be available by June 2013. Either way you look at it, you will be playing a lot of Borderlands 2 this year and the next … maybe even the year after that.
Borderlands 2 and the Season Pass will be available on September 18th, 2012 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. Let us know if you’re picking up the Season Pass in the comment section or on our Facebook Page.
