Skyrim ‘Hearthfire’ DLC Announced By Bethesda [VIDEO]
After months of speculation from fans and media alike, the guys at Bethesda have finally announced the second DLC to land for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, titled ‘Hearthfire’. Hearthfire will differ from the first DLC offering ‘Dawnguard’, allowing players to buy their own land and build their own humble abode on it. So what can you build? Players can build anything from kitchens, greenhouses, libraries, alchemy labs and even trophy rooms to show off their accomplishments.
Building wont be just limited to the inside of your house however, you will also have the option to set up gardens, fish hatcheries and beehives and collect all the goodies they create. If you want a little bit of help building your house, you can take the less rewarding shortcut and buy supplies from the in-house steward and also have a bard around to blast ridiculous Nordic music at you. From the trailer seen below, you can build considerably large houses that will undoubtedly attract unwanted attention in the form of skevvers and other wild animals, so get your security in order!
If you want your newly married partner to move in to your former bachelor pad you can do that also, along with the new feature that allows you to adopt children, bringing you the full family experience.
Skyrim: Hearthfire will be available on September 4th and will hit Xbox 360 first, with PlayStation 3 and PC having to wait at least a month to pick it up. The DLC will cost the gamer 400 Microsoft Points, so get those funds into the virtual wallet.
