Like myself, many have taken from their pockets to rent a server on Battlefield 3, for clan matches or just to play with friends, having your own personal battlefield is a plus. With administrators having the power to make their own rules and kick whoever they like, many yearn for the normal DICE servers they played on when the game released. Well DICE has heard the cries of their fans and have boosted the number of official Battlefield 3 servers on both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
“We have heard your wish for more official DICE servers,” said DICE on the Battlefield blog. “As of now, we have effectively quadrupled them on both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Note that you will still be able to get quick matched into any ranked server. For the best results if you want an official DICE server, please refer to the manual server browser and enter ‘DICE’ as a search term.”
“If you go to the Server information screen, all official DICE servers will have the owner set to ‘DICE’. Remember that you can favorite servers that you like so you can easily find them again on your next session.”
This comes at great time for Battlefield 3 gamers, with publisher Electronic Arts announcing the Battlefield 3 Premium Edition, which will hit stores on September 11th in North America and September 13 in Europe. The Premium Edition will include all the expansion packs for Battlefield 3 and the ‘Multiplayer Head-Start Kit’ which unlocks 15 different weapons, gadgets and vehicle upgrades, making the transition into online play a tad easier for beginners.
This shows the continued support developer DICE are putting into Battlefield 3 and with Armored Kill nearly upon us, it’s good knowing the developer is on top of things.
