Leak Suggests ‘Hearthfire’ As Next Skyrim Expansion Pack? [RUMOR]
Nords and Mages of Tamriel, I come bearing news of a salty nature regarding the next expansion pack to land for the dragon infested title Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. According to a leaked official description, courtesy of Reddit user derptemp6698, previously rumored ‘Hearthfire‘ will be the next installment of downloadable content for the game, with players able to buy land and build their own house. The Reddit user has history in finding out things that turn out to be true, such as the recent Mass Effect DLC leak, only time will tell if it is true however.
The official description for the rumored expansion reads,”Hearthfire, the next official game-add on for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, has arrived. For the first time in the Elder Scrolls universe, purchase land and build your own home from the ground up – from a simple one-room cottage to a sprawling compound complete with armory, alchemy laboratory, trophy room, and more! With Hearthfire, the possibilities of what you can build are endless.”
Being able to construct your own humble abode would be a step up from the usual cosmetic changes you can already make inside your house in Skyrim. The series first saw customizing your house in the Wizard’s Tower DLC for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, which allowed gamers access to Frostcrag Spire and the option to buy an Alchemy Lab, Library Area, Alchemy Garden among other things with the game’s currency. With the Reddit user who provided the leak also releasing a picture of the Frostcrag Spire(which you can see above), it just adds fuel to the already raging rumor fire.
If Hearthfire is indeed the next expansion pack for Skyrim, when will it release? Well, Hearthfire as you know is a month in the Tamrielic calendar, which is essentially September here in the real world, coincidence? If September is the release date, we don’t have long to wait, while we do wait, feel free to drop us a comment in the section below or head over to our Facebook page and start a discussion.
