Mass Effect 3 Completion Rate Down Significantly Compared To Mass Effect 2
So by now most of you are well aware of the controversy that surrounded Mass Effect 3 and its ending. What you might be surprised at is the fact that despite all the hoopla, 42% of you actually completed Mass Effect 3. Now to be fair that number is down from the 56% of you that completed Mass Effect 2, but still slightly higher than the number of people that completed the original Mass Effect (40%). The Mass Effect 2 completion rate may have been inflated by folks going back to finish the game and prep their save file in anticipation of Mass Effect 3 before that became a major problem for a lot of us. It’s actually the reason that I didn’t finish the game, I got so pissed off that my save file from ME2 that I had spent forever getting the way I wanted wouldn’t work that I just put the game down and never picked it back up.
In comparison to other recent Bioware games Mass Effect 3 did quite well, beating out both Dragon Age: Origins which only 36 percent of people finished and Dragon Age 2 that came in at a solid 41 percent.
Mass Effect 3 is available now for PC, PS3 and 360 and will be coming to Wii U this holiday.
