Counter-Strike: Global Offensive To Get Zombie Mod Upon Launch

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is set to launch next week and when it does there will be a zombie mod available for it from the word “go”. Valve announced that the mod is in collaboration with a team at Plaugefest.com and can be obtained specifically on the PC from August 21^st. We have all seen the success the zombie mods can achieve (DayZ anyone?) and it will be interesting to see if this mode can achieve similar things.

Counter-Strike is legendary among online shooters

A small blog post on the official Counter-Strike site said that this would be the first of many mods for the game. “It was important to us as we developed CS:GO to make sure it was as moddable and extensible as any CS game,” the post read. It continued: “So this is just one of the many mods that will be available in the coming months.”

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is out on August 21^st for PS3, Xbox 360, PC and Mac and will feature new maps, characters, and weapons and delivers updated versions of the classic CS content (de_dust, etc.). In addition, CS: GO will introduce new gameplay modes, matchmaking, leader boards, and more.
