The Ultimate Team mode is extremely popular in the FIFA Soccer games, so much so that it is at the center of pre-order offers, but Wii U users who buy the new game will sadly have to do without it according to EA Sports’ Matt Prior. Speaking in an interview with Nintendo World Report, Prior revealed that Ultimate Team would be missing from the Wii U version of FIFA Soccer 13 because it is a complicate online feature that “took many years to kind of come onto 360 and PS3.”
There will be some online features that appear on the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U etc. version of the game as Matt Prior explains. “We wanted to make sure we got the most popular feature in from versions for 360 and PS3. Either online or offline, the most popular feature in it is an online mode called Online Seasons, so that’s in the Wii U.” Obviously the game will take advantage of the tablet controller, which led Prior to state that “there’s a lot in our game that’s not in 360 and PS3″.
FIFA Soccer 13 is out on September 25th (North America), September 27th (Australia), and September 28th (Europe) for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, Wii, PlayStation 2, Xperia Play, PlayStation Vita, Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation Portable and iOS.
