Dawnguard Now Available For PC, PS3 Version Performance Not Yet Satisfactory

Earlier today at QuakeCon 2012, Bethesda announced that Dawnguard, the first official game add-on for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, is now available to PC users. The English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish versions can be downloaded from Steam for $19.99.

The Vampire Lord Harkon has returned to power. Using the Elder Scrolls, he seeks to do the unthinkable – to end the sun itself. Will you join the ancient order of the Dawnguard and stop him, or will you yourself become a Vampire Lord? Featuring an all new faction questline, new locations, weapons, creatures and more; the ultimate choice will be yours.

As for PS3 players, you are going to have to wait. You can take solace in knowing for sure that it’s coming, but sadly Bethesda isn’t happy with the expansion’s current performance on PS3 saying:

We are not satisfied yet with Dawnguard’s performance on the PS3. We would like for everyone to have a chance to play Dawnguard, but we aren’t going to release it for PS3 knowing that some people’s experience in Skyrim will be worse. We do everything we can to have our content available to all; from our free updates, to user mods, to paid DLC. We’re as disappointed as our fans when that isn’t the case, but we’ll continue to push for that reality.

PS3 players hit up the comments and let us know how you feel about this, are you mad they delayed it or are you willing to wait as long as it takes to get a great final product?
