Limbo Follow-Up At Least Two Years Away … ‘Project 2’

PlayDead, who developed Limbo and is developing “Project 2”, will not be releasing the latter for at least two years, says director Arnt Jenson to IGN. Jenson attributes this to the studio’s insistence on quality, and admits that “We took a lot of financial risk to release Limbo only when we felt it was ready and we are prepared to do so again.”

To some, PlayDead’s Limbo stands as one of the most atmospheric platforms in years, if not ever. While I would disagree with that statement, I got to hand it to any indie developer who can gain a following like Limbo’s and maintain it.
