Good news for Capcom. It seems that their new IP, Dragon’s Dogma, has been a large success, winning them thousands of new fans across the globe. Now it seems almost certain that the franchise will see at least a second title, and the games creator, Hideaki Itsuno, has been speaking about what he would like to see in a sequel.
Speaking to Famitsu (and translated by the ever-wonderful Andriasang), Itsuno confirmed that he very much wants to make another Dragon’s Dogma game, and that it would be a much more epic title all-round. He said that the original game world only ended up filling around 2/3 of the size he had aimed for, and that only around 60 to 70 percent of his ideas for the title made the final cut. Both are things he would like to change in the future.
As well as talking about Dragon’s Dogma, Itsuno also told Famitsu magazine that he has an idea for a fighting game in which skills and experience are not an advantage, which sounds pretty kooky to our ears, but interesting!
