It seems like everyone is getting into the gaming world these days, with social based, free to play titles going down a storm on Facebook particularly. Amazon is the most recent company to try their luck with a free-to-play games store and they have teamed up with Raptr to provide some incentives for the game Stronghold Kingdoms.
Amazon now offers a number of downloadable games from their website, covering many genres from MMOs to First Person Shooters and dress-up games for girls. Stronghold Kingdoms is a tactical empire building game that looks straight out of 1998, but in a good way.
If you haven’t heard of Raptr it’s a nice service which collates together all of your achievements across different formats and provides incentives as prizes for reaching certain milestones. The latest offer involves obtaining $10 of in-game currency for Stronghold Kingdoms free of charge.
Amazon is also offering $10 as an incentive to anyone downloading the game from their store so together with this Raptr reward new players can get a head start in Stronghold Kingdoms with a rather tasty $20. Is the thought of all that free (virtual) cash tempting any of you guys to try the game out? If so then let us know what you think.
