FIFA Soccer 13 is just a few short months away from release and the folks over at EA Sports have revealed a host of new additions and improvements to the career/manager mode. It could be argued that the career mode competes with online as the main reason for keeping people playing the FIFA games months and even years after their release but that doesn’t mean the mode is perfect. It has its flaws so new features involving international management and in-match live score updates are being introduced and improved respectively.
International management in Career Mode will give the players the chance to take control of International teams in addition to the club team you are already in charge of. Your performance with your club side as well as your reputation has a direct effect on the quality of the international offers you get. I think this will be a great improvement with managing an international team providing an extra challenge.
The in-match live score updates sees audio updates concerning other games being played in your league, with the news being delivered by Alan McInally and Geoff Shreeves. The live updates will cover goals, red cards and penalty incidents. I believe that this is a massive improvement as before it was limited to goals only with the change in score appearing in the top right corner of the screen and mentioned in passing by the commentator.
The complete list of everything new in the Career Mode of FIFA Soccer 13 is staggering (view it here) and should improve the game massively. FIFA Soccer 13 drops on all of the major platforms on September 28th.
