The latest trailer to surface for upcoming futuristic shooter Black Ops 2 goes behind the scenes with the game’s writer David S.Goyer, who was the co-writer on The Dark Knight Rises and Composer Trent Reznor, who penned the game’s theme song. Both men sat down with Studio Head, Mark Lamia and the game’s director, Dave Anthony to discuss their involvement with the upcoming Call of Duty title.
In the video Goyer talks about how Black Ops 2 has been approached the same as a “big event movie”, hoping to have the same impact as those in the box-office, he went on to say, “Even though it’s a first-person shooter, it’s got to be sophisticated, It’s got to be funny, it’s got to be challenging and have twists and turns. In the case of Black Ops, I would argue that this story is better than most movies that are being made.” Goyer also created the main villain in the story ‘Raul Menendez’, who looks like a major badass, who might even give Makarov a run for his money.
The game’s composer Trent Reznor also shared his thoughts, talking about the video game industry taking itself to the pinnacle of entertainment and his excitement being apart of it.
