Recently the exciting news of the announcement of Battlefield 4 swept the web, coming from a pre-order bonus with Medal of Honor: Warfighter, the bonus giving access to the Battlefield 4 Beta in Fall 2013. With the usual release timeline broken with the announcement of the game, many Battlefield fans have asked, “What about Battlefield: Bad Company 3“. Well EA’s Community Manager Ian Tornay, broke the silence and explained why the shooter didn’t make the cut.
Tornay has the always easy job of handling the reactions and questions from the Battlefield 4 announcement, be it about the way gamers can get access to the Battlefield 4 Beta, the concerns over the games quick development or what features fans would like to see in the game. When asked about Battlefield: Bad Company 3 not getting its turn, he responded over Reddit saying:
I can tell you that it’s not due to any lack of love for BC inside of DICE. Everyone I’ve talked to there is very proud and fond of it. What features from BC would you like to see in future games (which is not to say we won’t make another)?
So we might see another Bad Company outing in the future, the more chances to see the Frostbite 2.0 engine in action the better. Would you like to see Battlefield Bad Company 3 instead of Battlefield 4? Let us know your thoughts in the nifty looking comment section below!
