Apparently Metal Gear Solid 5 had its own little screening behind closed doors at this years San Diego Comic-Con. Images from the scheduled Fox engine demonstration made its way onto the net and displayed a Metal Gear Solid 5 logo with the subtitle, “Open Ground Reconnaissance Endeavors,” which has many believing it’s the mysterious “Project Ogre” in development at Konami.
Hideo previously stated that Metal Gear solid 5 might happen in the future, with rumors of an African setting with a younger Solid Snake. Even if Metal Gear Solid 5 wasn’t on the menu at the screening, something awesome was shown according to Gears of War creative director Cliff Bleszinski, who said over Twitter,
Just got pulled into a back room at Comic Con by @HIDEO_KOJIMA_EN and showed some crazy new secret stuff. Wow.
With Metal Gear Solid being Konami’s biggest seller, why not give fans a glimpse of MGS5 at the recent E3 expo. Don’t get me wrong, Comic-Con is a stellar event, but E3 is the crème de la crème for game announcements. It’s a confusing affair to say the least, but one way or another, a new game will come out of production at Konami. What it will be is the million-dollar question!
