Continuing with awesome announcements making their way out of this years San Diego Comic-Con, a video game based on Marvel character Deadpool was revealed at the Marvel Video Games Panel, along with a teaser trailer. The sword-wielding, gun-slinging superhero will finally get his chance in the limelight, when he comes to undisclosed platforms sometime in 2013.
The game will be developed by High Moon Studios and published by Activision with it looking to be a third-person action-shooter. Deadpool is known for his sense of humor, ability to heal very quickly and his only major commercial trip outside of his comic home, 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine. During the Q&A panel at the event, Marvel’s T.Q. Jefferson, didn’t give anything away about plot or what platform the game will released on, only saying, “There will be lots more to come.”
Voice actor maestro Nolan North, who we know as the voice of Nathan Drake from the Uncharted series, will reprise his role as the superhero, previously portraying him in Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, and that Hulk vs. cartoon, so expect witty remarks from him as usual.
You can check out the teaser trailer for the game courtesy of IGN below, it doesn’t tell us much, but be warned, it’s definitely NSFW.
