The San Diego Comic-Con Expo has already produced something that will have the mouths of The Last Of Us fans watering. With intentions to steal the show at this year’s event, developer Naughty Dog gave fans a brand new cinematic trailer titled ‘Bill’s Safe House’ during The Last Of Us discussion panel for the upcoming survival action title, introducing a brand new character named Bill. So there is non-playable characters that don’t want to eat your face or rob your belongings in-game, there is hope!

Brutal but beautiful game.

The trailer shows both Ellie and Joel, the games two main characters and Bill, the mysterious new character running from the infected, seeking shelter in Bill’s own safe haven. What follows is truly brilliant storytelling and great character interaction as Bill decides to handcuff poor Ellie to a nearby pipe and pull a gun on Joel out of pure paranoia that he’s infected. This is followed by some colorful words from Ellie, which for the sake of keeping my job, I will not repeat. After everyone eventually calms down, Joel talks to Bill about returning a favor, which will assume they both have history and Joel helped him out in some shape or form in the past.

They then begin talking about a plan to make a new car, which makes sense after the previous The Last Of Us trailer ‘Turn the Sky Grey’ showed Ellie and Joel crashing their car into a store front. Bill eventually agrees to help but wants nothing to do with the duo afterwards, I guess all the zombies and surviving day-by-day have made him moody.

The mysterious Bill is voiced by actor W. Earl Brown who we know from TV show Deadwood, who looks the spit of the character he portrays. We hope more on this Bill guy will filter through as Comic-Con continues. You can check out the awesome cinematic trailer below. The Last of Us is slated for a 2013 release on the PS3, will you be picking it up? Let us know in the comment section.

When not fighting crime, I dabble in the art of online journalism. Alright, maybe it's not as exciting as headbutting everyday felons like a modern Bruce Wayne, but I need something that doesn't involve bludgeoning something. Get my kicks playing on a fat 80gb PS3, really need an upgrade......and a shave.
