Modern Warfare 3 July Content Drops Land July 17
As we near the end of the Modern Warfare 3 Content Calender, we hope for something special to finish off a jam-packed season of DLC. Until that time eventually comes, we can embrace July’s Content offering, which releases July 17th for Xbox Elite subscribers. It features three new pieces of content and one free classic map revamped for nostalgia’s sake.
July’s Content Drops will see two brand new multiplayer maps included, which will bring the total of large-scale maps to nine. A brand new Special-Ops mission will also be available, so you and one of your buddies, dog or imaginary friend (we all have one) can take on the enemy with the campaign feel.
To get you more familiar, here is a small description of the content coming to Modern Warfare 3 in July.
Multiplayer Maps:
- Decommission – A graveyard of rotting ocean liners has not only given birth to a shantytown of locals, but a mid-sized Multiplayer Map populated in chokepoints; providing the perfect setting for shoreline-based combat.
- Offshore – Trapped on an oil rig in the middle of the ocean, you have nowhere to go but directly at your enemies in this new Multiplayer map boasting helipads, cranes, and countless perches for snipers eager to pick off the competition. Did we mention to look down or else you may fall off?
Special-Ops Mission
- Vertigo – The luxurious “Oasis” hotel in Dubai hosts the latest Special Ops mission, in which players must use laser-guided RPG’s to dispatch waves of helicopters. Utilize rooftop advantage to defend from waves of enemies, before parachuting to a ground-level exfil point.
It doesn’t seem like much, but with content hitting every month, previous content is still somewhat new. We also have the revamped version of Modern Warfare 2 map ‘Terminal‘ to look forward to, with the classic map tagging along with release on July 17 and for all Xbox users a day later. PlayStation 3 Elite Premium subscribers will also see four content pieces in July, with three brand new face-off maps and one Spec-Ops Mission coming their way.
All this and there is still six more pieces of unknown content to go for Modern Warfare 3, pure madness!. Let us know in the comment section below if you’re happy with the content for Modern Warfare 3 so far.
