Tomb Raider Reboot’s Timed Exclusive DLC Will Be Set After The Main Story

The new Tomb Raider reboot is getting some DLC but apart from the fact that it is a timed exclusive to the Xbox 360, we knew little about it. It has now been announced that the DLC in question will be set after the various events of the main story and will not feel like content missing from the main game, according to Brand director Karl Stewart. In fact he goes on to say that it “will be unique to what’s happening after the story.”

So those who don’t want the DLC will not be missing anything that affects the story

“I think it’s important to show people that we’re actively looking at how to expand”. Stewart continued. “In this day and age people have an expectation and an expectation of playing DLC is one, so for us there’s tons of mystery on the island, which – even in a ten-plus hour game – it’s going to be hard to answer everything. So it’s going to be great to be able to look at those experiences and how to bring them to life afterwards.”

Tomb Raider isn’t going to be a single game but part of a series so expect a few sequels in the coming years. Do you agree with Karl Stewart that the DLC won’t feel like its missing from the main game? Please leave your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below.

Tomb Raider will be available on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC worldwide from March 5, 2013.

I'm a big gaming fan who has been playing games since ever since Pokemon Yellow was released in the year 2000. Sports games are my favorite but I still wait for the day that a decent rugby league game hits the PS3. I need another Uncharted game...NOW!!!!!
