So the good news is that Brothers in Arms: Furious 4 hasn’t been cancelled as has been previously rumored. The bad news is that Brothers in Arms: Furious 4 has been delayed until sometime in 2013 at the earliest.
Delays are nothing new for Gearbox so I guess this should not come as that big of a surprise. Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford gave some insight into where they are with the game without going into too much detail by saying that the game “has evolved” and that people are going to be surprised at what they see. So basically they made what seems to be a massive change in creative direction and don’t want to talk anymore about the game until they flesh things out a bit more which is understandable.
Gearbox promises to get us an updated release timeframe at some point in the near future. Brothers in Arms: Furious 4 is a game with some solid potential and so I am glad to see that rather than rushing something out that wasn’t going to be up to snuff, they pulled it back and really looked at where the game needs to go to be a solid performer when it is released.
Stay tuned folks and we’ll keep you to date on all the latest Brothers In Arms: Furious 4 news as well as everything else going on in the world of gaming.
