This week on Nintendo Download, we have two demos, a sale (the first of its kind!), and two eShop titles.
Perhaps the biggest release this week is Marvel Pinball 3D, which is developed by Zen Studios and offers four pinball tables, online leaderboards, in-game friend challenges, and more for a sweet price of $7.99. The other eShop release exclusively for 3DS this week is Bomb Monkey, which is made by the awesome team at Renegade Kid, involves what the title suggests – both bombs and monkeys. The title lacks 3D, but hopefully the creative puzzle action will make up for it. Bomb Monkey will run you $4.99.
On the demo front, Nintendo is showcasing Kingdom Hearts 3D (released at the recent Nintendo Direct), coming July 31. The demo plays a lot like the original console-based Kingdom Hearts game, and is really fun (in addition to being a graphical showcase, to say the least). The other demo (actual released on the 28th) is Rhythm Thief, a rhythm game published by Sega starring Raphael, part-thief and part-Michael Jackson. Seriously guys, it’s excellent, and you should play it in preparation for its release on July 9.
Next up, Nintendo is doing a “Game of the Weekend” deal now, where each week, a game will get a temporary price drop for the weekend. Previously, Super Mario Land was featured, and this previous weekend, VVVVVV dropped in price from $7.99 to $4.99 until late last Sunday.
Finally, DSiWare is getting two releases this week, in the form of Flip the Core and Escape the Virus: Swarm Survival, both for $1.99.
