Make sure to grab your enchanted sword and dragon armor as Bethesda is gearing up to release the upcoming Skyrim expansion pack ‘Dawnguard’, for Xbox 360 gamers as soon as….ehhh, tomorrow, with the Microsoft one-month exclusive deal coming into play. Only catch is, it will only be available to gamers in English-speaking territories, good news for those in the United States and the United Kingdom, but if you live in any non-English speaking region, like France, Spain and Italy, you will have to wait a few more weeks, or sometime in mid-July for the DLC to release.
You may be angered by this news, but to keep you from crying in disapproval, let us remind ourselves of what to expect when it hits digital stores. Dawnguard will thrust gamers into the compelling story of Vampire Lords and Werewolves, giving the choice to join the ancient order of the Dawnguard and stop them, or become a Vampire Lord yourself. Personally, I think the latter sounds better.
Players will also be able to take advantage of noble steeds, as mounted combat will finally make its way to the game. The expansion also comes with new dragon shouts to blast your enemies with and new weapons including the crossbow, so gamers will be well equipped for what battles lie ahead. New locations will also become available with quest storylines taking you to new lands within Skyrim, so pack accordingly.
The expansion pack will cost 1600 Microsoft Points for Xbox Users, with the PlayStation 3 and PC versions yet to get a release date. Let’s hope all those lucky beta players made the DLC ready for release. Let us know if you are buying the DLC in the comments section below.
