Microsoft Store To Open In London [RUMOR]
Microsoft is always looking to expand the brand name any way they can, with PC’s, laptops, game consoles, soon to be tablets and other products under the company banner. To make it easier for consumers to snatch up what comes off the production line, Microsoft Stores were created and branches opened all around America. According to sources close to the company, a Microsoft Store could be opening in London, England as soon as March 2013.
Sources told The Verge, that Microsoft is looking to expand the store to other countries and has plans for London to be the first to open after the online store launch in the UK, which is scheduled to open sometime in the summer. Microsoft has gone and registered its own private limited company also, in aid of expanding its name, with sources close to the company also stating that Microsoft hasn’t finalized where the retail store will be located, but look to open more stores across London and the UK.
If any official announcement of an opening in London is to happen, it will be most likely at the World Wide Partner conference which is happening in July in Toronto, the setting for previous store related announcements. It would be the right timing for the tech giant to expand the retail business with the announcement of the Microsoft Surface causing major hype. With tablets all the rage, its release along with the opening of a new Microsoft store in the region would be a match made in heaven.
