We’re only a few days away from the Google I/O conference, and perhaps the biggest leak has already surfaced. According to a report from Gizmodo Australia, pricing, specifications, and a complete 360 degrees of images have turned up for the Google Nexus Tablet.  Reports have already set the reveal for the device for Wednesday, but that won’t stop us from finding out what we can.

The report states that the Google Nexus Tablet, which will be built by ASUS and called the “Nexus 7”, will feature the following list of specifications (from AC):

  • 7-inch 1280×800 IPS Display
  • Android 4.1 Jelly Bean (not confirmed to be 5.0 just yet)
  • 1.3GHz Quad-Core Tegra 3 CPU
  • 1GB RAM
  • 8GB / 16GB Internal Storage
  • 1.2MP Front Camera
  • 8 Hours Battery Life
  • Wi-Fi a/b/g/n
  • NFC

Additionally, the report pegs the device at $199 for the 8GB version, and $249 for the 16GB version. This is exactly where pricing should be set to compete with NOOK devices, the Kindle Fire, and the iPad once it’s released this coming July.

So are you excited about the first Nexus Tablet from Google? Hit up the comments and let us know. Hopefully, this is not a fallacy. Either way, we’ll know after Google I/O. Hoorah!
