Nintendo of America has reconfirmed the release of Pokémon Black and White 2 for this fall in North America, Europe, and Australia at the recent Nintendo Direct presentation. Through a series of press releases and a brief appearance at E3, we had already known more or less that the game was coming this year, but it certainly is nice to know that Nintendo of America is serious about it.
The games are the first direct sequels to any Pokémon game in the series, and take place a few years after Pokémon Black and White. The games also feature new mascots, Black Kyurem and White Kyurem, and also feature a bevy of new Pokémon forms.
In addition to this, two eShop games, Pokémon Dream Radar and Pokédex 3D Pro, will be released on 3DS later this year. The former uses the 3DS’ augmented reality features to capture Pokemon that are transferrable into Pokémon Black and White 2, and the latter is an update to the original Pokédex 3D that now includes every single Pokemon from all five generations. In other words, Pokémon has an awesome year ahead of it.
